When quilters think of curved blocks, they often visualize the Drunkard's Path quilt. The author of this book uses a variety of curved pieces to create a group of unique and interesting quilt designs. Quilt patterns include some that are sophisticated (like the lovely Falling Leaves or unusual Bands of Gold patterns), and others that would be suitable for children's quilts (sailboats, hearts, butterflies, or for that special heirloom, the Here Comes The Sun quilt). Instructions are given at the front for the basic techniques used in sewing these curves, and several of the quilts actually utilize the Drunkard's Path block, but it is used in very unique ways. This book would make an excellent addition to any quilter's library! |
