When we first saw this artist's work in a magazine photo, we wished she would write a book. Well, she finally did, and a terrific book it is! The subtitle is "A No-Rules Approach", and if the idea of no measuring and no seam allowances appeals to you, you'll love it. We have taught non-quilters in one session to create collaged pieces and machine quilt them "free-style" using this book. It's fun and liberating, and the finished pieces always look great. Any style of image can be done this way, from frivolous to very artistic (many of her pieces look almost like photographs). This book is on our must-have list! |
